Barry Costa-Pierce to present on ecological aquaculture at UMaine

Barry Costa-Pierce, Ph.D., FAAAS, Henry L. & Grace Doherty Professor, chair of the Department of Marine Sciences, and director of the Marine Science Center, will speak at the University of Maine on October 29, 3013, at an event sponsored by Maine鈥檚 Sustainability Solutions Initiative and the Aquaculture Research Institute.

Costa-Pierce鈥檚 lecture is titled 鈥淓cological Aquaculture:  The Evolution of the Blue Revolution.鈥  He will discuss ecological aquaculture as an alternative model of aquaculture development that uses ecological principles as the paradigm for the development of aquaculture.
