Julie Longua Peterson publishes in Journal of Experimental Social Psychology

Julie Longua Peterson, Ph.D., assistant professor of psychology, recently published an article titled 鈥淩egulating connection: Implicit self-esteem predicts positive non-verbal behavior during romantic relationship-threat鈥 in the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, Vol.49, Jan., 2013.

Her research suggests that, in response to relationship-threat, implicit self-esteem regulates connection promoting behavior such as smiling, touching, forward leans, and increased eye contact.
