Wilson File to lead symposium at International Conference on Communications in HealthCare

Wilson File, M.D., (MMEL 鈥14) will be leading a symposium on "Teaching Communication and End-of-Life Issues in Pediatric Oncology" at the International Conference on Communications in HealthCare (ICCH), September 29-Oct. 2, 2013, in Montreal Quebec.

File鈥檚 abstract, 鈥淲orking with Medical Interpreters in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology (PHO): Shared difficulties by interpreters and fellows,鈥 was accepted as well.  The abstract was part of the needs assessment findings developed in the Master鈥檚 in Medical Education Leadership course MMEL 604.

File is completing his final year of pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center/Children鈥檚 Medical Center of Dallas.  In July, he will accept a faculty position at the new University of South Carolina/Greenville School of Medicine.
